Rich!

I am RICH! I write to you from Muff's bed, covered in pastel yellow sheets. It's 3 AM (I must be lonely?) and I've let the lovebirds to sleep. But I am up, up and energized. It's juuust getting to bedtime in the desert.

1. The song "Alone" covered in Glee Season One has been stuck in my head ALL DAY. Do you have any idea what it's like to have Kristen Chenowith's belting energy bottled up on a day of planes?

2. I repeat, I AM IN MUFF AND JAMBA'S HOUSE RIGHT NOW. I was greeted with the utmost love. I sank into their embraces at midnight in the Richmond airport and I felt so grateful, welcome, satisfied: "My friends. My friends."

3. Decorations for my stay:

4. Dinner at one AM: veggie corndog, HOMEMADE RED PEPPER HUMMUS, Oreo cupcakes, Cadberry eggs.

5. This is my other family. You guys, friendship is the best.

'Til now, I've always got by in my own.
I never really cared until I met you.

Finito

Each morning I get up I die a little. Can barely stand on my feet.

Capstone is done. Performed. Bound. Thank yous to anyone who was a part of last Thursday night's reading--including the audience. Mucho love and gratitude.

Stripes and I during Robin Hood, also the cast of Can't (Hurry) Love

My brain is all shook up. I mean, I'm awake for one. Got a few little tasks I keep trying to do but get sucked into reading Mindy Kaling's blog or something. I'm frightfully restless, and I can't go running because today is the blessed triathalon. I don't want people to get confused when I show up somewhere I'm not supposed to be...running accidentally down the finish line.

I spent all my years believing you, but I just can't get no relief.

At Rehearsal

21st birthday. 7:30 AM.

"You're not wearing real pants, talking about playing a fake cafe game, and listening to 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' on repeat. Look at your life." -Pookie

Pookie's 23rd birthday. 2006.

Once upon a time I was falling in love, but now I'm only falling apart.

LOOK HOW COOL I AM...Not

Read the Rolling Stone story on Glee cast members. Pretty interesting, and of course, Chris Colfer was the superstar. Playing my favorite character, Colfer is actually younger than me. He graduated from HS in '08. In the interview he said that he had a really rough time going through school but he always fit in on HIS SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM.

Blaaaaagh! Speech and Debate 4 Lyfe!

So, naturally, my next mode of action was to look him up on the National Forensics League Database. I found him and quickly realized I totally kicked his butt in interp. I was so thrilled. I totally smoked him in districts, and it doesn't even look like he broke to Nationals! I had to tell everyone! Then, suddenly, I was all,

"Um. Alice are you about to brag because you have more speech and debate points than the gay kid on the TV show about Glee club?"

GD.

PS My recent reflecting on Speech may or may not have to do with my future. Details forthcoming.

The stars are out tonight.
Look at the fireworks.
You're not alone tonight.
Lighting the night sky.
You're not alone tonight.

Givin' You Hell

the sistahs celebrating with their father in March

First of all, yes I did wear gym shorts and a sweatshirt to a fine Italian restaurant. Whatevs! Second of all, Pookie and I have been talking about loyalty bunches lately.

I thought it was worth posting one of my recent fave quotes of hers. We were waiting outside before The Ataris discussing support of others and she said:

"I'll support you as long as you support me, and if you don't...then...I hate you."

If you find a man that's worth a damn and treats you well, then he's a fool. You're just as well. Hopes it gives you hell.
